Reviews

Louisiana Lunchbox is a wonderful local restaurant that serves up delicious Cajun food in Pensacola! They have amazing gumbo, Po boys, Boudin Balls, and a new breakfast menu that is good as well. Local owners that are great people. An easy five stars. Well worth your time trying out!

So this was our last stop before we headed back home. We walked in and the staff was very friendly. I heard great reviews from Yelp so I went ahead and tried it. They had different kind seafood so I went ahead and ordered the shrimp basket. We ordered it to go since we were heading back home. I found out they had homemade ranch and remoulade sauce. After we got our food, it was definitely worth the price and the shrimp was a nice size. The fries were delicious and the homemade sauces were delicious!!!! I will definitely stop by when I come again because it was so good.

Love Louisiana based restaurant. So it was rightfully so to come here and see what they were working with. Totally glad that I did! I ordered two platters to-go that was plenty for three-four people to share. I was lucky caught the special for the day which was the two piece fish instead of one piece. The fish was flaky, flavorful and large enough to make two fish sandwiches or to have leftovers. The shrimp were also perfectly seasoned and fried. The only issue I had was with the red beans and rice. The sausage that was in it seemed a bit dry or over cooked. But nothing to mark them down. They also do to-go mix drinks. And let me tell ya, they are delicious. The customer service and hospitality here is amazing. Everyone, even the owner pop out to say greetings. I'll definitely be going back to support this small business in hopes that they make it through these unsettling times.

The hubs and I met up for dinner one night after work. We really weren't sure what to expect, but we love a good hole-in-the-wall, and this place for the bill. It's a small place and it's very casual. You order at the counter off of the big regular menu board or the hand-written daily specials board. They give you cups to get your own drink and your food is brought out in to-go containers. There are maybe 10-12 tables in the restaurant. I opted for the fried shrimp and grits and the hubs had crawfish étouffée. Both came with side items and a roll. We ordered two shrimp étouffée pistolettes as well. The food was delicious, and that says a lot coming from me because I'm picky about shrimp and grits. I tasted some of the hubby's meal and his was equally flavorful and well prepared. The place was fairly inexpensive as well. Our total tab was under $30. We'll definitely go back. I can't wait to try more dishes on the menu!
I would give this place at least 7 stars if I could. Girls trip with 10 ladies who all grew up in Louisiana. The food was on-point! Crawfish Nachos, Boudin Egg rolls, Fried Green Tomatoes, Maui Maui salad, Crawfish Étouffée, Fried Crawfish, Fried Shrimp, Seared White Fish, Roast Beef Poboy, Beniet Balls, Fried Oreos - the service was superb, prices were great and I would absolutely recommend this place.
